How to Calculate Resistor's Color Code?

I hope we all know about resistor.

Resistor is a electronic conductive component which resist current flow of a circuit.
The value of a resistor is expressed on ohm 'cause Georg Simon Ohm invented how to calculate resistance of a conductor.

Resistors on a PCB

To recognize a resistor's value, color code is provided on the film covering the resistor.
These colors have a meaning.

Don't panic after seeing the chart below :p

If we start from the first color band of a resistor,

1. The 1st number of the value
2. The 2nd number of the value
3. Multiplier
4. Tolerance

We can calculate the value of the resistor from these color bands, but how?

Now we have to do a simple calculation.

Suppose, we have resistor and it have these color codes on it, 

Brown, Yellow, Red and Golden

Now Let's find out the values from the chart,

1. For the 1st band, The value for the Color Brown is 1 
2. For the 2nd band, The value for the Color Yellow is 4 
3. For the 3rd band, The value for multiplier RED is 10^2 or 100
4. For the 4th band, The value for tolerance Golden is ±5% (Means the resistor value may vary at the range of 5%) 

The value of 1st two bands leads two one number.

Means, Brown and Red = 14

 
Then the resistor value is going to be,

14 × 10^2 ± 5%Highest Resistance Value = 1470 Ω or, 1.47 Kilo Ohm
Lowest Resistance Value = 1330 Ω or, 1.33 Kilo Ohm

Note:
If the resistor have 5 bands, then the first three bands will lead to a same number and if have six bands, the first four bands will lead to a same number.
